Open Arms (Clayton only)

The C3 Kids Open Arms ministry exists to welcome children and families with special needs so that all might come to know Christ and participate fully in fellowship, worship, and weekend service. Open Arms allows parents and caregivers to attend service without interruption or worry as each child is cared for and ministered to by team members who have basic training in working with children with special needs.

For Preschool Aged Children Open Arms Class offered during 9:30 service time in C3 Church Clayton in Preschool area only.
For Elementary Aged Children Open Arms Class offered during 11:30 service time in C3 Church Clayton in Preschool area only.

Open Arms Programs

One-on-One Buddy Program

Participants in this program are paired with a buddy who helps identify and eliminate barriers to allow children to participate in the typical C3 Kids’ programs. Children in this program are mainstreamed into the typical C3 Kids’ programs with their buddy.

Open Arms Classroom

This program is for participants whose differing abilities prevent them from being mainstreamed into the typical C3 Kids programs full time. Children are provided with a structured and routine setting. We provide playtime, Bible teaching, songs, crafts, and snack. We strive to provide a 1:1 volunteer to child ratio in this setting.

To Participate

Each family must complete an application, which is available at the C3 Kids Check-in kiosks or can be downloaded from the website. A member of the Open Arms team contacts parents after receiving the completed application to set up participation in the program. We are unable to accept children with special needs on a drop-in basis at this time. Rather, we ask parents to experience our C3 Kids’ environments with their child during the first visit. A complimentary sermon CD is provided.
